JR, French street artist and TED Prize winner 2011 wants you to take part in a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. He says:

„I wish for you to stand up for what you care about by participating in a global art project, and together we’ll turn the world…INSIDE OUT.“

Go to www.insideoutproject.net to see how you can get envolved.

Art can change the way we see the world

At TED he is talking about his work, about the insideoutproject, and about the role of art:

„In some ways art can change the world. I mean, art is not supposed to change the world, to change practical things, but to change the perceptions. Art can change the way we see the world […] Actually the fact that art can not change things makes it the neutral place for exchanges and discussions and then enables us to change the world.“
